Patmos er en af Grækenlands mest berømte steder. Beskrevet tilbage i det 5. århundrede som ”Det ægæiske havs Jerusalem”. Det var her Johannes blev inspireret til at skrive åbenbarelsen
Og munken Christodoulos grundlagde et kloster i apostlens ære.
Det hellige kloster er i dag øens største seværdighed. Gå ikke glip at et besøg i klosteret og også dets fantastiske museum. Besøg også åbenbarelses grotten.
Havnebyen, Skala, er et livligt område med fiske tavernaer, restuaranter, cafeer og butikker.
